I wrote this blog between 2009 and 2011 when I first lived in Rome. At the time, I was raising a young family and had only limited time for anything else. Once or twice a week, I would roam around the city to visit archeological sites, museums, palaces, churches or simply discover the historic centre. I took great pleasure in learning about its two-millennia history and I wanted to share it in this blog. Due to family circumstances, I left Rome to Addis Ababa where I continued on another blog ( http://www.salamboinaddis.com) for the four years I lived there. On my return to Rome in 2015, resuming this blog no longer made sense as I moved to other projects and platforms (https://medium.com/voyages). I am nevertheless keeping it active because of the amount of work it represents and the information it contains. You can also find a bit of Rome on my Instagram account: mama_a_roma. Thank you for reading…
