I wrote this blog mainly between 2009 and 2011 when I first lived in Rome. At the time, I was raising a young family and had only limited time for anything else. Once or twice a week, I would roam around the city (with a baby in a stroller) to visit archeological sites, museums, palaces, churches or simply discover the historic centre. I took great pleasure in learning about its two-millennia history and I wanted to share it in this blog. Due to family circumstances, I left Rome for Addis Ababa (check http://www.salamboinaddis.com) and returned in 2015. Resuming this blog no longer made sense and I consequently moved to other platforms (https://medium.com/roam-in-rome). I am nevertheless keeping it active because of the amount of work it represents and the information it contains. You can also find a bit of Rome on my Instagram account: mama_a_roma. Hope to see you there!
